The Tentacle Sessions was proud to host a special performance by MICHAEL PEPPE in celebration of his 20th year on stage. Michael performed work drawn from his entire career and will debut new material. Opening sounds were provided by Symplx.
Michael Peppe is the man who knows (and wrote) THE
REAL STORY and AD
in the annals of the Church
of the SubGenius. His invention of Behaviormusik
is well collected and documented. He is featured in "Guests
Go in to Supper" along with Yoko Ono, John Cage and Laurie
Anderson. He has performed at Lincoln Center in New York City
and at venues in more than 30 other cities around the country
and the world. Closer to home he has performed at Intersection
for the Arts, Climate Theater, San
Francisco Art Institute, The Lab (23Five
benefit), SOMAR Gallery,
various Burning
Man related events (and at Burning Man itself), Anon
Salon, Defenestration,
ArtCar Fest
and elsewhere. In addition his essays and critical reviews have
appeared in Harper's, High Performance, Ear, and 40 other publications.
